One of the key groups involved in the Minnesota unrest, Minnesota Immigrant Rights Action Committee (MIRAC) , has a vivid history of extremism that includes opposing all borders, denying America’s right to exist, belonging to pro-terror coalitions, and indirectly inciting violence and criminality. American civil society can handle a healthy debate about immigration enforcement, policy, and the controversies in Minnesota. But make no mistake about it, these groups are supporting violence as a rejection of that discussion.
Their goal is not to work within our civil society and strengthen America. Their goal is to seize civil society, overthrow the system, empower our adversaries, and deploy the same rhetorical and political strategies that supporters of Hamas used so successfully against the U.S. and especially law enforcement. Here is the truth about MIRAC.
MIRAC appears on an “MN Community Response Resources” list circulated in Signal chats used to organize against ICE. Among the listed tasks is “Train up Community Members in Rapid Response and Intervention,” for which MIRAC’s “Immigration Raid Response Trainings” are specifically recommended. Per its website, MIRAC’s agenda is ending any type of immigration enforcement, ultimately overthrowing the U.S. government, assisting foreign adversaries in defeating the West, and creating a borderless world.
“MIRAC fights for legalization for all, an end to immigration raids and deportations, an end to all anti-immigrant laws, and full equality in all areas of life.”
“We are in solidarity with popular movements in other countries and oppose U.S. intervention in other countries.”
MIRAC sees the U.S. immigration system and criminal justice system as fundamentally unjust, racist, and white supremacist.”
Much like Minnesota ICE Watch, which was recently exposed on GlennBeck.com, MIRAC often deploys softer language to describe its aims and tactics. In actuality, it is a part of what I refer to as “Turtle Island Intifada,” an extremist movement that denies North America’s right to exist in the very same way that it denies Israel’s right to exist.
A social media post from March 27, 2025 , declared, “From Turtle Island to Palestine, occupation is a crime!”
To them, the “occupation” of “Turtle Island”—North and Central America—needs revolutionary “liberation” just as much as Palestine does. And we know how the so-called “resistance movements” attacking Israel pursue this fantasized “liberation.”
Support Our Enemies
MIRAC’s first public response to the October 7, 2023 atrocities was to declare its solidarity with Palestine and “the Palestinian right of return to occupied Palestine.” It did not write a single word acknowledging the Israeli loss of life, nor did it condemn the attacks or the Islamist and Marxist terrorist groups who perpetrated them.
Instead, it said , “Palestinian rights are immigrant rights! From Palestine to Mexico, border walls have got to go! From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free!”
MIRAC left no room for plausible deniability in April 2024 when it published a collaborative post praising the Iranian regime’s support for “the Palestinian resistance” and endorsing Iran’s direct missile attack on Israel.
MIRAC published the statement from the Free Palestine Coalition and the hypocritically named “Minnesota Peace Action Coalition” that reads:
“NO WAR WITH IRAN! RESISTING GENOCIDE IS NOT A CRIME! Israel bombed an Iranian
Embassy in Damascus, Syria. In response to this war crime committed by Israel, the Islamic Republic of Iran launched a retaliatory strike, which it is well within its right to do under international law. Iran has long been a target of US aggression due to the longstanding solidarity it has shown with the Palestinian resistance.”
The authors of the collaborative post are MIRAC and two other radical groups: the Party for Socialism and Liberation , which is linked to Chinese Communist Party influence operations, and Twin Cities Coalition 4 Justice, the state branch of the National Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression , co-founded by communist icon Angela Davis .
Both of MIRAC’s partners were designated as “pro-terrorism” in my comprehensive study of the anti- Israel movement, Marching Towards Violence: The Domestic Anti-Israeli Protest Movement , published by the Capital Research Center.
MIRAC went so far as to announce a “March for Iran” on June 26 in response to the 12-Day War, which it described as a “US imperial war on Iran” and “unprovoked war imposed by Israel.”
MIRAC jointly published the announcement with the Minnesota chapter of the U.S. Palestinian Community Network, the Minnesota Anti-War Committee, the Climate Justice Committee, Educators for Justice in Palestine, and the state chapter of Faculty for Justice in Palestine. In keeping with the Turtle Island theme, Educators for Justice in Palestine’s Instagram page lists its location as “Dakota land.” As part of the People’s Action Coalition Against Trump, MIRAC condemned the U.S. for having “dropped bombs on innocent Iranians and Venezuelans” in September 2025 .
There also appears to be a connection to communist-governed Cuba. In September 2024 , MIRAC encouraged supporters to hear from one of its members about her trip to Cuba as part of the “Law 4 the People Brigade” with the National Network on Cuba, speaking on the “Cuban legal system” and the U.S. embargo.
MIRAC was also a part of the Coalition to March on the DNC, which I exposed in an investigative report and on the Glenn Beck Program for having at least 162 extremist groups in its alliance; nearly three- fourths of the entire membership. Collectively, they have expressed support for—or have ties to—19 foreign terrorist organizations.
The MIRAC-affiliated coalition’s website outwardly supported the October 7 attacks and depicted Russia and China as victims of U.S. imperialism.
